Owner Lindsey Shaklee has 20 years of experience working with animals Her experience ranges from shelter work, teaching obedience and family dog classes, to training Search and Rescue and medical alert scent detection dogs, to working with and raising service dogs. She has competed in Obedience, Rally Obedience and k9 Nosework. Lindsey's educational background includes a degree in psychology from Colorado State University and a Masters in Biology from Miami University. Lindsey's training methods are based on positive reinforcement and relationship building. In addition, Lindsey is a Certified Family Dog Mediator.

Lindsey's training philosophy is based on building a strong relationship between the dog and their human through positive reinforcement and an understanding of the ethology and needs of both people and pets.
